RAMS - Risk Assessment Method Statement
Risk management is critical for all sorts of events and initiatives. It enables us to identify risk promptly and swiftly correct it, reducing risk to the lowest feasible level.

We discovered three risk categories using the RAMS tool: safety risk, schedule risk, and cost risk. In terms of safety risk, we recognized that the elderly are at risk of falling and injuring themselves; in terms of scheduling risk, we may not have enough volunteers to assist the event; and in terms of cost risk, we may not have enough funding for the event.

We then devised a risk-control measure for each of the three parameters. In terms of safety, we determined that a non-slippery surface is essential for our event. Concerning scheduling risk, it is critical that everyone understands the flow and operation of all operations. In terms of cost risk, we were fortunate in that we had previously found a sponsor for our bento sets.

At times, we had to assess the severity of an issue and determine what we might do to reduce the risk to the lowest possible degree. For example, we had to assess if the Community Centre's setting was safe and suitable to carrying out our hands-on activity.

We also have to deal with any issues or risks that develop; for example, our location initially featured a lot of tables, which may represent a risk that our elderly participants would fall. As a result, we must move the table and decorations to the side to make room for our participants and volunteers to move.
